The only thing normal shift does is make it shift at 4000rpm when you floor it
In perf mode it''ll shift at 5200rpm, it definately shouldn't be redlining

If you drive normal it shouldn't matter what mode you're in (shift wise, mileage wise)
I, myself keep it in perform mode, if I need to punch it, it wont cut me out at 4k

I didn't notice one bit of difference between the two. I'll have to check where it ***** at WOT in each. I think it'* in the 5'*.

Guess I've been around a while, the 2nd to 1st downshift and WOT didn't impress me as much as you guys. It has power and yes that'* the best place to feel the take off... but the same thing in my truck is more amazing. Guess that'* an 8 cylinder with towing gears for you.

35 is too late for the SI guys. Not sure what 1st maxes out for SII, but mine maxes out at 48mph [2.97 final ratio]. I really like 25-30. That seems to be the sweet spot for me. I used to be able to do it just right on a little uneven pavement and chirp el tires. But that was stock.. haven't tried it modified yet. Also be sure your neck is secure.. because the first time I did it [with my mommmy], I really hurt her neck. So everyone be careful [i'm not kidding either].

my car shifts too early from 1st to 2nd at WOT at 42 mph. I dont remember what it the tach read with the performance shift engaaged.

At 35 mph, when you hit that speed and then decid to mash on the gas, your trans will drop back to first and you will have a nice whip blash feeling
