John, I thought so too, but I can't remember. I thought Sol'* pics were different but unfortunately could not find them. I have them at home, but I'm sure the ones at the 2003 show were the same grill as the ones Pearl posted above.
The one Pearl pictured above...if it was produced and had the L67 I'd definitely would rather have that than the SSEi body style.

I never liked the 2000+ design, but the preproduction model looks HOT. I really wish GM would quit playing such games. I remember seeing the G6 concept and going WOW, then the production model came, and it was watered down. Way to go, jerks.
I always love the 92-99 design. It looks better than the 2000+ because the latter looks large and bulky. The front end looks like typical cookie-cutter stuff, nearly identical to the GP. The earlier gen looked more sleek and stealthy by comparison, it was a very unique design and thus you can barely find another car that looks just like it.
