Exactly why you shut your mouth and take your ticket. never, ever argue. That'* what court is for.

exactly even if you KNOW you are in the right, respect the officers and it'll go alot easier in the long run.

Ok, city car, it was unmarked but it was dark and If I had seen them I would have slowed down sooner. I thought honesty would help which it did a little bit, but I admitted to having a "led" foot so thats what it said on the ticket, I dont think I could plead guilty to something I admitted to on site.

See I have always been told to NEVER admit to anything !!

Take the ticket tell the officer to have a great day and thats that !

Fight the ticket
....

If you admit to speeding
the officer writes that in his notes
if the officer shows up for court
he reads his notes !

you're screwed LOL

Another thing you can do is ask to see the radar display ! Most times they will have cleared it or not locked it in prior stopping you !! If they can not show you the legally can not write the ticket !

Never Admit to anything !

Well I'm not sure where you reside but the police here have radar units in the vehicle that detect your speed even when they are travelling. I was already slowing down and I saw his headlights, (crown vic) so I didnt know about all of these guidelines.

Its usually the same.. they have to prove it if you ask, Other wise they could be handing out speeding tickets to anyone !! if the unit is not able to be removed they will in most cases bring you back to the car and show you !!

I have gotten out of tickets just that easily !

Never provide information. Do you know how fast you were going? Not sure officer. Be polite, answer with yes, no, or I'm not sure. Take the ticket, and argue in court.

Well all he said was "Do you know why your stopped?" And I replied "Yeah" "You were goin 82 back there, why you driving so fast?" "I have a lead foot" I will surely remember to ask to see the displayed number if it happens again.

The comment "Lead Foot" could of gotten you a Careless driving fine as well !!

Officer "Do you know why I stopped you?"
You "Why No Officer"
Officer "Well you were speeding"
You "No way??? Seriously"
Officer "Yes 82mph"
You" Do you mind showing me the Radar??"

Never say Sorry (Thats Admission of Guilt) Never Admit to speeding, Never say... Damn Lead Foot LOL
