Default Metric Units (HP -> kW and lb-ft -> N-m)

They've used those units in Japan (amoung other places) for a few years now.
In Canada we still mainly use the imperial system when taking about the power a car has.... but it seems it'* going the way of the "mile".

The metric system is here, and it'* changing what units we measure our cars in.

Even on Pontiac.com'* website... they now have both listing for the G6.
Engine, 3.5L 3500 V6 SFI (201 HP [150 kW] @ 5600 rpm, 220 lb-ft [304.0 N-m] @ 3200 rpm)
Engine, 3.9L 3900 V6 SFI (240 HP [179 kW] @ 6000 rpm, 241 lb-ft [339 N-m] @ 2800 rpm)
Even in Need for Speed Underground 2, the cars are measured in kW and N-m.
In GT4 things are measured in metres..... so the 1/4 mile is now the 400m drag.

While I'm not used to these units of measurement yet, I'm sure I will.
But does anyone know the formula'* for converting to/from these units?

Piece of cake. Google on convert from whatever to whatever and it'll return about a hundred sites you can use to convert.

The GT series always had it as the 400m drag.

Good thing is, that with GT4, I now have the option to switch over to km/h. I still keep the hp and lb-ft settings for power though.

I sometimes use my scientific calculator (Sharp) to convert units.

Quick Reply: Metric Units (HP -> kW and lb-ft -> N-m)
