My 97 has about the same for mileage and has had a ton of maintenance. I'd suggest doing the usual mantenance items like plugs and wires etc. The things that will keep fuel mileage up.

Go for total neglect if you think it'* going to last 5 more minutes instead of 5 months.

As long as you take care of the car it will last a long time. There are members that have over 400k. Fix what needs to be fixed and keep up with plugs, fluids, and what not and the car will last you. A basic tune up will only do you good. Plugs, wires, PCV valve, air and oil filter, trans fluid and filter. Clean it all up, flush and fill the coolant if you don't know the last time it was done.

I got a PRJ tune at ~150K miles on the SLE. It used to feel like it could go on forever, but now I think my changed driving style will be the transmission'* undoing in about 20K miles. Maintaining your car to keep it as OE as possible should let you keep driving it forever. I agree with you in not knowing if you really should work on "upgrades" at that mileage, but definitely maintaining the car will help save you money down the road. Common performance upgrades to cool off the engine and the air coming into it may help your gaskets last longer, and not considering the increased consumption of gas, you would see a slight horsepower gain.
