Well, got the night shots in. Sorry about the shitty job with MS Paint putting the 2 pics together, but you get the idea.

mike let me ask you a question....do you think there would be any way to take apart the white face of the gagues and have the red come thru...or to make the gagues red...

WOW, that would take alot of work to do. Possible yes, but then you defeat the purpose of having the reverse glow of the gauges. I'm researching these panels here and trying to find a better source. Hopefullly something custom.

It'* defintely pretty cool and unique looking, but I don't know if it'* my style. I think it would be a lot more legible if the intermediate hashes were significantly smaller than the primary hash marks if that makes sense.

nice...I love them. I think I'm gonna get them. One :?: though. Regarding the dimmer, would it work with the factory dimmer? You say yours is fubar, but could have gotten the one for $13.00.

VERY NICE!! I had similiar glow guage overlays on my Sonoma. I wired mine through my dimmer circuit so I could dimmit (bad pun) with the headlamp switch

I'm not sure EXACTLY how these things work, but from the looks of the transformer, it appears to be like a flourescent type of ballast. The instructions did say NOT to hook it up to the factory dimmer because it requires a constant 12V to operate. I would assume the optional dimmer goes between the ballast and the panel.
I may experiment with my panels some day. Maybe cut the notches out to allow the red light to come through.
