That'* quite a DIY. I think you have to pull the side pan for that . . . which means dropping the transmission at least low enough to clear the frame.

This sounds like an input clutch piston issue that seems to have cropped up in the early 2000'*. Takes a full overhaul to fix it from what I know of it.

Yeah, the [Edit] button is at the bottom of each of your own posts. On GMForum, you can only save an edit to a post for five minutes after it is created. After that, it is carved in stone forever:

Thanks for the heads up on the frame member, I'll have to take a look underneath to check it out. Maybe I'm oK, maybe not.Its a Unibody car.

You only have a few minutes to make an Edit or changes.
Just add another post is Ok.
As far as the 4T65E here is a post with some helpful information.

I love the Valkrie!

The idea that they put that much motor in a bike is crazy to me!

You have the ability to follow the instructions to do this job yourself. You'll have to remove the valve body to do some work on it. Likely you'll need to drill it in one or more spots but all can be done with a simple drill motor if you take it easy.

I don't keep close track of the motorcycle world, but have always wanted a Gold Wing. I remember when the Valkyrie came out, in my eyes it was a stripped down Gold Wing with three times the carburetors. Cool! Now I just looked it up and discovered that it only lasted a handful of years then was dropped. I never knew, and I still see them from time to time.

These days I'd be scared to ride a bike on many of today'* roadways just because of the maniacs and screen-addicted doofuses on the road. Maybe someday I'll have time for a bike out on rural roads. In the mean time, my little old CT90 is great big fun on the trails.
