-- The car was designed for it.
-- You'll have to patch holes in the lid if you remove it, unless you're planning to replace the entire lid with a non-spoiler lid (which is how I would do this _if_ I was going to do this, which I'm not) and save the original for later reinstallation when the time comes to sell.
-- The car will look a little too much like a veteran of a rental-car fleet without it, since most stripped full-size cars are lease/fleet survivors, not private purchases.
-- You're going to spend the rest of your days explaining your decision to other people who know Bonnevilles and are wondering what happened to the spoiler, and other people who don't know Bonnevilles but do know that there'* something funny about the back of your car but they can't quite put their finger on what it is.
Yes, downscale Bonnevilles come without a spoiler, but why would you want to downgrade yours to match?

i was at first wanting a spoiler on my car but now i have grown to like it. I feel that my car is unique in it'* own way. But, if my car had come with a spoiler i wouldn't take it off. I'd say, go ahead and leave it on.......
