Lack of exhaust-With Video
While I'm no expert. IIRC having no exhaust causes the valves to heat up and stop sealing properly.
Although..more thought about it.. with the stock manifolds.. you should be ok for a short period of time..#4 is pretty low restriction ....

Please read closer.. I mentioned having no exhaust and that running the manifolds wouldn't be bad for a short time.
The article from How stuff works is suggesting headers.. The information I'm aware of is running no exhaust at all.
