Some of these motors had some issues with bearing clearances, The same goes for the 3300 but its year dependant..
And if it alwas beat the oil, it must not have been a good 3800 from the word go...

When I look at the carfax for it, it makes perfect sence. Its a 93' and in 00' it only had 15K on it. I bought it in 03" with 96K. So it sat for 7 years and then had miles rushed on it. Dad is contemplating scrapping it or putting a new motor in. Hes kinda nuts though, he wants a car for $2500. He just put new tires on and says he will take the wheels off the 93" and put them on whatever car he buys.
