Default key in ignition

hello, I have a big problem my key is stuck in my ignition cylinder and i tried wriggling it to no avail? any help is greatly appreciated

have you tried rolling the steering wheel back and forth while trying to pull it out?

Yeah a lot of times the column will lock and will lock the key in there also. Wiggling the wheel, or starting the car and shutting it off again will usually get it out.

also try pushing your shifter forward. if it doesn't see that it is in park it will not release the key

Try moving your shifter to 1st then park..

Is the key all the way back into the release ?

I had this issue with my 94 once. I had to get under the center console and adjust the cable to let the shifter more fully than usual go into park.

Ok i did get the key out. I took apart the dash and released the igniton cylinder. Then i opened the center console. and released the brake line so i can get to work. (Temp fix) I'm going to look into diagnosing it later today if not then i will have to get a new shifter.
