Can I have your old trans when you get a new one blueeyes? I highly doubt that there is a core charge on them, we don't have cores on our b=ville trannys. I wanna tear on of these things aprat and learn about them and see if I can learn how to rebuild these bastards.....And become a knowledgable person about these things.

I haven't seen a trans source that didn't have at least a 100 buck core. Most are 200.

Not from salvage yards around the midwest. N/A'd trannys are such a "dime a dozen" item up here......I could walk out my back door and trip on one....Most expensive tranny core form a salvage yard I have seen to this date was 500 bux for an allison 5 spd trans out of a 200 Chev 3500 with an 8.1 liter. The 1500 chev trucks like mine, the cortes on those are generally around a $100. But very rare that a FWD GM trans has a core around these parts.

Tough break Martin. Go all out, break the bank and do a INTENSE tranny.
