Default Kato Oil escapades, and FREEBIES ROCK!!!! (Suggestions?)

So.... We had an oiling party in mankato today. Both Smellbird and I were filling up with 5 golden quarts of Mobil 1 today. My weapons of choice were....

5 quart Jug of 10w30 Mobil 1 ($20) 4.3L WIX oil filter (8-9 bux i think) For those who don't know, the 4.3 filter is the same as a 3.8, just longer. Fram Sure drain oil system, the SD1 is what you want for the series II atleast. ($12 bux)

Smellbird got..

5 quart jug of 5w30, and an AC filter.

While my car was on the Jack, Seth and his buddy noticed my horrid air dam. Derek commented that he probably had a bonnie bumper out back. Maybe even the same color, Seth didn't think so about the color, but it was right! They got it free, so I did as well. A better condition matching bumper for free!!! I plan on repainting it since there'* a scratch but it'* still better then what I got now.

I'll most likely make up a grill before I put it on, but i'm looking at re-doing my main grill too. I'm looking for a Horizontal grill, like aftermarket truck ones. I'd like both to be like that. Any suggestions? I was also considering lighting up the word Bonneville in the bumper, and making a new way to mount the License plate (motorized?). I have the spare fog light leads, so I could use that switch to activate any system.

Any other nutty ideas for the bumper? Maybe shave the ribs on the front and leave them on the side?

There are also a couple companies I know of that sell both the hole punched and billet style of grills. Its cheaper than buying them custom made. . . but then again I don't know that anyone sells cut Bonneville grilles. lol

I'm willing to cut up some stuff to fit, but most billet grills for trucks are like $90....

Gotta love free, mesh the opening for a cleaner ram air look is a good idea too. Maybe a white neon tube to light it up?

That was another idea I was considering. Those fog light wires are just itching to be plugged into something.

I love digging up old posts.

Anyway I found a company that will sell universal grille inserts in all kinds of different patterns. Prices range from 13.99 to 44.99. They will sell them ready to paint, flat black, gloss black, and certain other gloss coat colors. They're sending me a sheet of their diamond grille to take a look at. If you want to see it you'll have to stop by and check it out and have a look at the new custom Corvette grilles.
