Series I N/A but Series I */C beats L36. But L67 beats all. Looking at this, I'm kinda disappointed that L36s aren't that formidable.
I know L67s are known as torque monsters, tire-wasting powerplants. What are L36s called? Surely not, gasoline-sipping senile powerplants, there HAS to be something else positive about L36s other than better gas mileage in certain areas (hilly=L67s)
I'm not ashamed of my L36 but I want to call it something.

i can hang with a L36 with Gutted airbox....yes i am at the rear bumper but it dosent pull that much on...i even beat a 00+ SLE (stock)once...
i believe that the 92-93 L67 can pull ahead on a L36 from a stop...from a roll...well that is a different story
i also think that a 94-95 L67 can beat the L36 flat out mo matter what the race

the l67 has such a flat tourque curve, its far quicker than a 3800 N/A, even a heavily modded N/A isnt the same as an L67 cause of its power band

I'm just a tad confused. I understand the L67 kicking L36'* *** from a stand still but from a roll, why you saying that it a whole another story? Is there something about the L36 I don't know?
from family members owning both, I haven't found an experience at all, where the SLE felt faster than the SSEi, other than light-throttle city driving due to the L36'* higher gear ratio. It feels peppier around town under light throttle conditions compared to the L67. once the L67 hits boost though, it excells in all areas.

My Bonnie could hold its own with the L36, but I never once raced it or drove it that hard except for a few occasions. My GTP on the other hand I beat up on a regular basis, it owns many cars, but I think that my L36 would have beat it 0-60', just because the GTP has the 3.29 gears, and it likes to sit there and do a smokey burn out, and then hook up when TC kicks in.
