Yes Sir. Shawn did my pulley swap on my 01 ssei. His brain is a giant sponge that just soaks up car info/modding. Nothing wrong with that. When you know your $hit, you know your $hit. Age is irrealvant to me, knowledge is power.

I also drove an 03 GTP before I bought my 01 ssei. The GP was very quick and did light up the tires at every intersection. I didn't care for the interior that much though. The Bonneville is much nicer inside and out IMHO. So it'* a little slower being heavier and nicer, I can live with that.

*raises hand* I'm 15. To think, I've given all this Toyota-related stuff advice to BonneMeMN... I think he had no clue

My dad took a '99 GTP around the block once - it belonged to my cousin'* cousin. Damn, when he came back, he had this big grin on his face, the car was brand new (this was back in '99)... he drove pretty hard, when he came back, the brakes were smoking

So, I went to take my road test for my license today. The road test was at 1:45 and my dad and I got there at around 1:35. When the instructor arrived (we were meeting in a Parking lot) he did the inspection on the car, and then started filling out paperwork. While he was doing the paperwork, he was asking me irrelevant questions just to take up time. The one in particular that I remember is when he asked me, "Shawn, can you tell me the cubic inch displacement of the engine in this vehicle." Right away I said 191. (We had the 3.1L Turbo Grand Prix) He looked at me with a funny face (like WTF I didn't actually want you to answer) and then turned to my dad and asked if that was correct or not, and of course it was. So anyways, I took the test and passed. (wow, never expected that) We went right to the Secretary of State and got my license from there, and while we were there we got a Personalized license plate for the Turbo Grand Prix. (It is going to say "COOLED" (meaning Intercooled) to match the "COOOLED" (also meaning Intercooled) plate on the GTP) We have been thinking about getting a personalized license plate for the SSEi that says "UNCOOLD" as kind of a big joke since it isn't Intercooled, but we decided not to. So anyways, now I am a licensed driver!!!

Just thought I would post here and let you guys know since you have been talking about it.

I think I hear a heavily modified GP calling your name
Now that I can legally drive it, I will have to say that I will pass on the mid-12 second street terror until I get a little more driving experience under my belt in a slower car...don't need to go wrecking any 12 second Grand Prixs, and getting injured anytime soon. Of course, if I was given permission to drive the car around for a little bit, I think I would, just because I can't resist the downshift to 1st gear at 45mph, and nice big smokey burnouts, but I would have to say that is probably why I am not allowed to drive it....yet.
