Default Jet Performance Chip

I saw this online, and was wondering what it does, if it'* worth the money, and would it be beneficial. I am also wondering how to install one.

That doesn't say for supercharged applications. The only 92 chip I've seen for us is Hypertech. I've got one. Not too difficult to do.

Look a little closer, it says for the SSEi. How much did you pay for your Hypertech? Where did you get it? Could you feel the improvements? I'd appreciate it if you could get me some more info.

I emailed willwren about the same chip. I am very interested but am also wary about my original tranny going up in smoke....

Here'* what he wrote back to me:

Well, Jet never made a 94 or 95 chip. So that would be a neat trick. Nor did they ever make a 92 SSEi chip. But they WILL. Call Jet directly. They'll ask for some numbers off your PCM. If they'll do it (they told me last year they would do a 92), get the stage 2. Money well spent, but keep that trans in mind. The chip contributed to the inevitable. And transmissions are spendy

Thanks, Johnnieboy!

Correct. The last time I spoke with Jet, they told me they still had not produced a 92 chip. Be wary, as the source posted here may assume the 92 and 93 are compatible, when they are not.

Jet WILL burn a 92. My advice is to deal with Jet directly, not through a supplier on this one. You can't afford any goofs. Jet'* customer service is fantastic. So is their tech support.
