Interior question
I'll hopefully have my Bonneville this weekend, I've been looking at a few different years and came across something I didn't understand
Was it an option to get the console shifter instead of the column? The SE i'm getting has a column shifter, not too keen on that...is there any easy way to switch?
Just curious

All the SSE'* and SSEi'* were console shift. I don't think anyone has tried this. If you did try it, and wanted to go ALL the way, you'd be talking the following parts:
Linkages (obviously!), wiring harness from the shifter to wherever the hell it gets gear inputs from.....hopefully the connector behind your cluster is the same as ours, then the column, center console, and cluster. You wouldn't have to do the cluster if you didn't mind the gear selection being dead. But then again, you could have the gear selection indicators run in parallel.......Sounds like a trip to the wrecker. I can give you some of the part numbers you'd need, and some rough prices for new parts. I have a new book in the library!

He'* got a point will. I am not going to do the engine heads swap unless I can practice on a junkyard 3800 engine. Too risky considering I have classes and work almost every day.
