Default Interior Dash Kit

I was wondering if I could gather some information on where it is cheapest and the best place to buy dash kits. I would like an aluminum or chrome look or something to that nature. If I remember correctly, it was like $184 on ExoticWoodDash.com, but I was wondering if there was any place cheaper or what options I had for a 1998 SSE. Thanks a lot!

184$ seems pretty good. You could always paint it like I did if you dont mind drving around without your dash for a day or two.

I recommend you stay away from painting. I got into that whole thing a long time ago on the 94 and later re-painted it with stock GM flat black paint in the end.

Here'* a link to MANY dash kit companies. http://www.autoguide.net/partsandservices/dash.shtml

I'm on the hunt my self, you can email most of these companies and they will send you little samples. I'm also looking into a brushed chrome/ Aluminum/ ect, the problem is that after recieving some of the samples I'm glad I just didn't order it, some of the Aluminmum type swatches I've gotten will SCUFF so EASY! :? Don't want that finish. haven't decided on what to get.

The aluminum kit sounds cool! Are there any pics available? I would really be interested. I painted all my dash with krylon paint and its held up great and looks very custom. If you are showing your car, they look at the work you put in it, not the parts you just buy and put on anyway. Allot of judges frown on aftermarket add ons, and look for custom fabrications. If you know a wood worker or metal worker, then you could have them custom build you something that would be different from the others if you want to stand out from the crowd. I am working on having some Billet aluminum pieces made for my interior.
