From what my service manager well the one who handles all my work says YES they have reformulated Death Cool. Although it'* in the GXP im not to worried about it Since it is like a birth defect take two compatible jeans to reproduce Spinal Bifida. Isnt it true that it is not only the DEX but the Gasket Material used?

I havent herd to many issues with the N* and DEX ... anyone ?

Gasket material is NOT the issue. Mine looked good enough to reinstall at 100k on the green stuff. Several others have seen the same.

Will what I'm trying to say is that Gaskets are broken down by the DEX the two were never meant to ever be together.

the regular Gaskets will work fine with Prestone but there must be something in the DEX that doesnt like the Regular Gaskets

Default Why did GM even start using Dex-Cool

Why did GM even start using Dex-Cool in the first place? None of the other car manufactures use it and it produces results such as the link shows. :?:

What'* strange is that my parent'* truck runs DexCool. I have been keeping an eye on it every time I go out to see them. Their'* seems to be fine still, nice bright pink and no slime in their radiator that I can see. They have a '99 Sonoma with a 4 cylinder engine.

So, I don't get why it obviously hurts our engines, but some seem to be fine...?
