the common thing for other cars is to call it 0.5'*.

ie, for the 1992-1996 Toyota Camry, 1992-1995 is the Gen3, 1996 is 3.5 due to cosmetic changes

you wouldn't call an older guy as part of a younger generation just because he changes his shirt
