Insurance Rates

Does anyone know if insurance rates for an SLE are the same for an SSEi?? There's over $500 difference between an SE and the other quoteI was given.

Trying to budget out to see what I can afford for my new car...I made a big mistake on it before, so it's $30 more than what I thought. I know that dosn't sound like a whole lot, but it is when I am trying to scrimp and save....

Damn I'm paying full coverage with a $500 decuctable on my 98 ssei and its only $372 every 6 months. I've got a clean license so maybe that may help though. My old 88le was costing me about 225 every 6 months so It really didn't go up that much. The 88le had only liability on it. I go threw american family insurance and have been since high school and never had a problem with them. I'm 26 so maybe the age might come into play also.

i pay 170/month for full coverage...i gotta ssei....with American Family mutual and im 17 male too...so...its pretty cheap

I pay 700 every 6 months for PLPD :x becuase I have what you say Bad driving record

Per month its just a little over 60 bucks. This is the first car that I've had full coverage on. My 88le wasn't worth enough to have it on and for sure my 73 dodge dart 4 door(which was a really fun care during my high school years) sure as hell wasn't worth it.

I would think the SLE is lower than that of the supercharged. I have an SSE which is basically like an SLE in appearance, just prob. has more options. But mine is lower than a SC. My insurance is in the process of going down after my last grade report. But before that I was paying $137 a month, full coverage. I'm 21 and have a clean record (I wasn't caught going 112 in a 65   That's why.

Tam, the SLE should be much cheaper than a SSEi to insure. The SLE is a package on the SE platform.

I agree, SLE should be cheaper. My insurance would go up 200$ just because of the supercharger.

I've got State Farm and for full coverage on my 1994 SLE (basic Se body, but just a few more options) with 185,000 miles it would run me $138/mo and I'm 22 and have nothing on my record for 2 years and prior to that all that I had was speeding tickets. I only have liabilaty because that's all I can afford right now and that's running me $61 a month (and they told me my rates wouldn't go up for being rea-ended -since then liablilaty has gone up 20%+ from $47/mo and on my old 1992 SE full coverage was only $91/mo).
And all this is with the multi-car discount -phooey!!!
I'm getting raped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ack:
I think it's time I start shopping around.

So SE, SLE, and SSEi all have different rates?? Or are teh SE and SLE considered the same?
