Hi Guys and Girls,
Has anyone noticed AIG insurance advertising a lot lately? Well, I had State Farm insurance for my 2 Bonnies and my Z28 Camero, and it was costing me $1,700 a year.
Well, I called AIG, and they quoted me $460 for 6 months.
Anyway, just wanted to share that. No, I dont work for AIG. I just wanted to help others save some money. If you are paying a lot already, check them out, you may save money that you can use to mod your cars
Cheers,

and wait til you have a claim. You will see the difference there. You will always be able tofind a cheaper rate than State Farm or Allstate but State Farm backs up their promise of good customer service. I would rather be hit by a State Farm insured than any other company

From: Kansas - yet again...

right now my parents are only paying around $300 for my 97' an there 01' f150 every 6 months but once I get my license its gonna be $280 a month on my '97 an $120 a month on there 01' f150, allstate just dosent like kids
what your parents need to do is by a pos car that they can carry liablility only on and rate you on that. You can still drive any vehicle in the household just as long as you are covered on one. Most companies offer discounts for good grades, drivers ed, etc.
A lot of times people say that a friend of theirs pays less for insurance and want to know why. There are so many factors that go into determining premiums such as, type of vehicle, age of driver, miles driven, coverages (limits & deductibles), area, IRG (the insurance rating guide) just to name a few. And if your driving record has any tickets or accidents that will cost you plus now they use a credit score to determine rate. So the next time someone tells you they pay so much less compare their policy to yours.

My renewal with State Farm was due, so I shopped around. Yes, I am lower risk, no tickets ect. But State Farm and Progressive were gonna cost me about $1700, and AIG quoted far less. I was the same person with the same driving history for all 3 quotes.
So comparing the 3 quotes, AIG was far less, almost half the cost. AIG tends to insure more lower risk drivers though.
I called Progressive with a question about 2 years ago and they listed my call as a not at fault claim, that increased my premiums. So Progressive screwed me and they have high premiums, so dont think that paying more gets you better service. State farm has done nothing for my but take my money each month. Their service sucks.
I think from now on I wont bother posting something like this, since all it gets are negative comments. Go ahead and pay your huge premium, I'll use the savings for my vacation.

I don't think you have gotten any negative comments here. The only thing that matters is that you are happy with your choice. Everyone has their own opinion and we are just expressing ours. I was just trying to explain to others how premiums are figured since that is what I do for a living. I hope your company is everything you hope it will be. And that is all I have to say on this subject.
