I boils down to $$$$$$. Will it cost you more to get a dirt bag lawer and maybe still lose(remember you did do it), or just pay it and move on?

Something to think about
good luck anyway

One little ticket shouldn't have that big of an affect on your insurance rates.

How about this....Cool off for a couple of days, and then make a decision. Your just really pissed right now.
If you still want to do it then.......The biggest Dirt Bag Lawers always have the biggest Ad in the Yellow Pages... no matter what state you live in

You did it. You won't get off. Traffic tickets aren't like criminal cases. In most cases, if you plead guilty (in court), they will reduce it. If you fight it and lose (and you will lose) you will pay the full amount, plus court fees.

Do NOT mail the bail in to the court. Appear in person if you want any chance of a reduction.

Act humble, apologetic, and guilty. Don't make excuses. They hear them all day long, and it pisses them off. Tell him you screwed up, got in too much of a hurry, and your foot got away with you.

No more than 50 words.

Zero. You'll get 'em. But it will go better (probably/possibly) if you plead guilty. If you fight it, you'll get the book thrown at you.

Jseabert followed this advice with a 96 in a 55 last year. He got a suspended sentence, no points, but if he even gets a parking ticket in that time period, all the charges are re-instated.

He also had a $180 fine, but the insuance wasn't notified as the charges were suspended for the 6-month probationary period.

It all depends on court procedures and the specific Judge that hears your plea.

When I was in and out of court, I watched people with multiple DUI'* get a slap on the wrist and suspended sentences. Most court systems don't have time to deal with speeding and stuff, they want you in and out so they can move on to assaults, drug charges, and worse...
