You know...you mentioned how the insurance would be higher when supercharged...I do know, for at least one, Progressive doesn't inquire what trim/engine your car has like other insurance companies. IF you do go supercharged and don't have progressive, it just miight be time to switch.

I can't say I will miss having boost. I didn't drive the SSEi nearly enough to really notice it, aside from the whine that is. It'* funny though...the SSE feels like it has more cajones than the Ei, handles way better, and looks way better. And for all intents and purposes, the Ei should be considered new in the drivetrain department. I'm not sure if it is motor (remember it IS an L27 core), the programming, funky sensors (scantool showed nothing abnormal), or the car just WANTING to stay dead. It just doesn't lay down the power I think it should be. Not to mention all the stuff that still needs replacement. I could spend another 1500 on that alone.
I think we will go look at the SLE tonight, when I get out of here for work. Afterwards, I'll more than likely strip down the SSEi, swap parts between it and the SSE, and get it out the door Monday or Wednesday night when I get back from NY (going on an emergency work trip).
Yes, a more positive nicky will be called for. We are still trying to come up with one for the SSE. Since I have a penchant for 'toons and anime, I was thinking "Outlaw Star".

I would say go with 97 (no bias judgement there), but it looks as if you have your mind made up.
Why not white?

I checked with my insurance, and it would be an extra 50/month for full coverage, 100 dollar deductable. This is damn near what the '93 was running me on liability alone
Karen is filling out the online credit app right now, and had been talking to the sales manager via phone tag. Unless she can get approved, there is no point in us going to look at it.
Greg, at this point in our life, we need something newer, and with less power. Karens daughter is on her teething permit, and soon will be licensed to wreck havoc. She has her sites on the Maxx and has fully conned herself into thinking it will be hers. That may very well happen, since I have GAP coverage and wouldn't mind one bit if she totaled it But the bottom line is this: freshly licensed teen + vehicle on policy with a supercharger = raped bank account. Thats the biggest reason for not going Ei again. Another reason is just simple economics - it'* very hard to find one around here that is in decent shape and decent price.

Well, I guess the SLE would be the best option
Speaking of raped bank accounts, when I first bought my SSEi in 03, I was paying close to $400/ month for coverage

Just so I understand correctly. Lady-K'* teenage daughter (almost 16 or already 16) wants the Maxx and Lady-K'* SSE will be yours then Lady-K will get the 2000+ Bonne, did I understand that correctly?

In the ideal situation, sort-of. Right now, Lady-K mainly drives the Maxx, and I drive the SSE. This is because it is more miles for me to go to my work than it is hers, which keeps the mileage down. Her daughter absolutely loves the Maxx (esp with the FM 80 on it), and refuses to drive the SSE because it is "gnarly" (which is a bad thing nowadays). BUT...she likes the 2k Bonneville styling, so there is hope for her yet
But, all that is a mute point. Karen got denied the credit app, and I can't afford to take on any more debt on my own. She is literally a ghost in the credit department as we disputed all of her negative stuff a year ago, and wouldn't you know it...everything dropped off her reports Now, it'* a clean slate. TOO CLEAN. So nobody will look at her
