What do yall think about this... I have a 89 Bonnie with 200k Miles on the Odo, and Shes worth alot more to me than to a dealer, so my mom, wants a car, and is willing to trade down (she kinda owes me too) and give me her 1996 Blazer 139K miles in my Bonnie'* place. And I was thinking if I did that, then I could use the Blazer to trade in to a newer Bonneville, or should I keep mine and try to restore it eventually, what do y'all think?

a 1996 versus a 1989... thats 7 years newer, and a 4wd with 60000 less miles

Yep... at first she didn't think it was such a hot idea (as in well I could just do that myself) but I think she realized how much of a Bonneville nut I am (my posts don't say it, but i love my car) and Bonnies in general) So I'm still up in the air, because I don't know how I'd cover the difference in prices ( I;m looking for a 01 or 02 SE or SLE)

why dont you sell the blazer outright...trading cars is usually stupid for a car that old.

I'd be supprised if they gave you $2000 (regardless of what KBB says)

However you can probably sell it for around $3500 or so considering winter is coming up

Too bad you're in EDIT Montana /EDIT because I know a couple people here in Indianapolis that could easily buy such an SUV.

The topic author is from Montana, not Oregon.

The Blazer would bring more in Oregon though, as we use no salt.

We dont use salt here either,just sand, the city builds a mountain of it every fall so they can scoop it into sand trucks all winter. Montana cars for the most part are rust free
