Going through at least one automatic car wash with your car, why? You learn many things as I did tonight.
The one i went to, used only water, soap, wax and clearcoat protectant, NO BRUSHES or anything touch the car.
What i learned:
The hole in my front passenger headlight is a problem. Why? One of my silverstars blew up...thats okay though, i had them in my old Bonny, thats how old they are..so now i know i need a new headlamp assembly..I will get two, my other one isnt kosher either
Secondly, my drivers side rear door on the top left side leaks, how did i learn that, my head got wet, fast.
Thirdly, my passenger side read door right side leaks, how did i learn that, i saw the waterfall. Now i know what i need to fix this weekend.
Fourthly my stupid windshield STILL leaks.
Oh shes gettin old..again...LOL

I go through the same type of carwash (was it at a shell station?). But anyway, I know what you mean about getting soaked. In the '89 water would seep down from the headliner in the front and back, and everytime the high pressure spray went along the driver side door I would get sprayed. I made a habit of bringing a coat.

As I drove away I could hear water sloshing around somewhere in the car...luckily the '96 doesn't have this problem...

Pressure washing reveals no leaks... yet to try one of these touchlesses in the '91 though. Though I did in mom'* Altima, it'* watertight.

Yeah....leaks suck.....I bring mine through the same kind of car wash and my windshield leaks directly in the middle. So I make sure to just put a rag right where my shifter is to sop up the water as it pours/drips down

Poor sealing job on the window. Highlanders did that the first time he came over. By his next visit...no more leak

I, personally, would try and seal the leak. If water is running down the windshield, how much is still in there trying to rust the roof??

The Missus' van had a leak like that. A very thing bead of clear silicon on the outside, and no more leak!!
