cause they are the police. there are exceptions for them such as seatbelts, tints, speed (most speed chases are over 55mph in case you haven't heard ) and running lights(i've seen a cop run a light to catch someone running a light). plus who'* goning to pull them over?? :P

Probably because they don't have to worry about not being able to see into a cop car, they don't usually pull them over.

But is does seem hippocritical.

Around here they just have tint on the back windows, which is perfectly legal.

Around here...well in Webster, NY I have seen MANY local police driving and talking on cell phones (which is illegal in NY) now that is messed up. That law is there for safety and they should not be immune to that law!!!

You don't hold a CB radio up to your ear or dial them as much as a cell. In NY you have to have hands free for Cell Phones

Most cop cars here in michigan are clear, but around detroit, undercover and vice suburbans have tinted windows. Some MSP cars have tint, but they are unmarked.

most of the Police cars around here have tint are the K9 cars....and then only the back windows are tinted so the dogs stay cool in the hot summers....also the Investigatiors unmarked cars have tint

Maybe she was able to get a permit. At least she can afford the tickets methinks. 30% is the limit here in Indiana, but no one seems to get bothered for 20%, including bonnealien.
