Default I have horrible luck

Does anyone remember what happened when i did brakes and rotors on the black bonneville? Yea, on the test drive after putting them on the tranny went. Well i JUST finished brakes and rotors on the white bonneville, does anyone want to guess what happened on the start up..... nope not the tranny. Yup the motor started knocking. So this motor is gone. I have the best luck ever. I bought the black bonneville, had it trailored up, i drove it 4 miles and through a rod and had to put a motor in it (5 years ago). Then as everyone knows i blew the tranny in it about 6 months ago. So i buy a white bonneville, to be my DD and have a little fun with. Drive it about 15 times total, still owe my sister in law like 200, and the fricken motor goes.

Can you use the motor from the black car and the tranny from the white one and at least have 1 on the road?

As for the motor out of the black car and the tranny out of the white, now i just have to make my mind up 100% which car is going to be NA and which is going to be supercharged.

And i am done with brakes lol done

Yea, both motors that blew had the original upper manifold. I think that is possibily the downfall to both. And i agree the white will stay NA and the black will be supercharged. I thought about it since the motor started knocking and that is what i am going to do. I am possibily going to swap the motor out of the black one into the white one. I know that motor is much stronger and only has between 40-60K on it, plus my rockers and everything are already in that motor, also i can do the a/c delete at the same time. Anyone have any tips or anything to throw out there.

PS- i dont think the L36 is flawed but i do think the original upper manifolds are ticking time bombs and i see why everyone has made a big deal about them Either way i look at it i will be low-mid 14'* by the fall (NA) and have a weekend cruiser in the black car that goes much faster.

, keep it up Billy B When you get to 5 let me know, i will drive down there and give you a hand. But just think Bill this means 14'* NA. That motor did a 15.1@93 in the heavier car, and i have more mods now and will have even more come next week and the week after. I dont see why i will not be WELL into the 14'* now.
