I used to be in a credit union when I lived in NY. And recently I found out that I can go to some bank here in CT and conduct my account matters there. So it is an option, I just have to figure out where I can go. Dealer financing worked out better for me with the Chrysler, my interest was only 6.05%. And it's nice to be able to do it all in one place. I'll do a bank if all else fails.

Exactly, I had a really bad experience with a Dealer financing, got out it at the very last second. I go with my credit union for all my loans, Navy Federal credit union FTW. The dealer still couldn't match the interest :)

When I bought my 01 I was a full 3% less at a credit union than at any local banks. You're right about small dealers though. I looked at a Pacifica with the wife last week and the dealer told me he had 30 different banks that they work with because of their size.

This might be a long way from you, but it's not too far from Andrew or Nate (half way between them I believe).
Higher miles, the options, but with cash in hand you might get the car for $5G or a little over and you could stop off at Intense for some goodies on your way home with the money you saved..... $10G could really make you a threat to 8-Ball. No but really, $1G at Intense could net you a shift kit, Stage II mod kit, making you run really close to 13 seconds.

Unfortunately for me I'm limited to dealer cars as I have to trade in my Sebring. :(

My list now is:

2003 - gray, 100,000 miles – $8800 in NH

2001 - white, 70,000 miles – $11,999 in NY

2003 - white, 66,000 miles – $12,999 in MASS (will need to lower that)

All 3 CARFAXES are good. Financially, the $8800 car would be nice, hopefully the engine was taken care of. Hopefully it had 33 oil changes so far. lol

The 2001 in NY is in my price range (the MAXIMUM), but compared to 2002s and 2003s, it seems overpriced.

Still have yet to see pics of the MASS car, just came in I guess. Aaron may be seeing it this weekend. Assuming all are were in GREAT and equal shape/condition (body/drivetrain), I'd probably go with the gray 2003. That one will have to be almost perfect though.

Ok, good news, I called the stealership and it's still there. I'll be leaving shortly to go take a look. I'll bring the camera for pics.... Stay tuned....

Thanks Karl! :)

I'm looking at a MINT (from the pics) 97 diamond white Aurora in Binghamton as well, $6900, and 69,000 miles.

Don't shoot me!

Thou shall not be shot!

Any word from Karl about the Ei?

bonnie94ssei 07-14-2007 01:09 PM

No word yet. Hopefully it's a nice one!
