In the past 2 weeks I've seen at least 4 or 5 HX5 bodies with Supercharged emblems on the doors or trunk. All with dual turn down exhaust tips. I can't make up my mind which one I want. Two were 1995'* with one being white, and the other being green (there are at least 2 green 1995 SE or SLE'* with the L67 from the factory), and the 1996-newer were 1 dark cherry (like smellbirds color only with the SE body) 1 white (chrome torque stars), 1 light blue (with chrome torque stars), 1 teal (also with the chrome toque stars) and a couple months back I remember seeing a black 1996-newer with supercharged emblems and it had the standard SE 5-spoke 16" rims.
BTW, let us know if the car gets a new owner (your mom). Can't wait to see what you would do with it.

Hey Blue, lean towards the 96. That was the Series II L67 debut. If the price is right.

I'm not too sure if memory serves here... But I think it may be 1 of 600 or 700.... I could be wrong though...
I checked on this when the Boat first posted it. I got some numbers from Pontiac yesterday. Forgot to post them.

For 1997, total production numbers were:

61,287 SE'* (unknown number had the SLE package)
8,282 SSE'*
4,446 SSEi'*

Out of those, only the following were produced with the 40th badging (rough numbers):

4700 SE'* (some were SLE, probably most with thise badge)
1700 SSE'*.
600 SSEi'*.

Of the 4700 SE'*........only 6 were L67 powered. SIX. All were special order.

Yeah you wouldn't want to total that one......

Keep it MINT, or you'll lose it to one of us. I'll have to come by in the middle of the night or something if i hear it wasn't washed every day...

Humm, I saw a burgandy 40th SE here today. It had leather, dual exhuast( like on the 97 SSE(i)'*), traction control, heated seats' the whole 9, let me tell you. BUT it didnt have the ground effects like the SSE(i) '* do. It just had the SE molded into the front dooes like the rest of the SE'* I have seen. It also had the stock 5 spoke type rims on it.

I know it was owned by an older couple. Cane in the back seat, with the terminator glasses & a rosary hanging from the rear view.

It looked really nice.
