Gents,

How hot would you estimate the top surface of the aluminum LIM gets (specifically, the part directly under the UIM)?

Edit: on an L36 (if that matters).

Measure it just outside where the UIM sits. It'll probably be within 1-2 degrees of that.

It will normally run about the same temp as your coolant.....until you are into the boost, then it will heat up to upwards of 250 - 300 F
