i took some measurements, it will have to be at least 18 inches shorter, it can be up to 32 inches shorter, but that would require removingthe wing window, im aiming for 24 inches which is the shortest it can get and keep the wing window, ill have to get custom brake lines cuz the GP only has a 3 inch shorter wheelbase than the bonne, probly have to remove the apre tire compartment too and move the fuel tnak back there, this is all hypothetical at the moment as i leanr more i can make more feasible solutions

you know that 2 door cars are usually as long as there 4 door version, many times there longer? this thread is so silly i dont know why it hasn't been locked. might as well JB weld the car back together. its one thing to chop some pics and say "wouldn't this look cool" but to actually think your going to do it.....sorry for the rant

if you were somewhat serious, what you need are longer doors, and to fill in the back. were the back door is would actually be part body panel in front of the wheel well, and part front door - if you know what im trying to say. if gm ever made a 2 door bonneville, that would be a better representation.

but i actually want to make the car shorter, ive seen someone else who made a long 2 door photochop, thats not what i want, i want a smaller car, and the bonneville looks sweet when its short like that

If that will make you happy but I don't think that is a good idea. It sounds like a lot of money for something I don't think sounds really too safe. There'* a shop here that does similar things but when it is in an accident the welds bust.

hmmm, are you sure they are professional welders? i have been told that proper wedlding shouldnt compromise the strength, and what of all those cars that have custom built frames like the rock crawlers that go thru all of hard ****?
