Default How

Out looking at my sisters friends car it has 166k miles. So I looked at the date stamp to see how old the Intake was!!! It was From January 1999. Just as old as the car which says February 1999. Is this possible? It has the origional engine from what I heard. So could it be origional? Has a Series II ever lasted that long?

** Wasnt sure if this was the best place to put it so if need be move it for me Thank You!

yes, that is not unheard of to have an original UIM...

they are a frequent failure, but nothing is a guaranteed issue in the end

All of you higher-mileage L36'* are just begging for disaster and great expense in possible motor replacement.

My personal opinion is that the UIM replacement should happen at 100k or LESS. 200 bucks now to save you $600-$1200 later in engine replacement?

Cheap insurance by my book.

I have yet to check exactly what the 99 SLE has as its UIM. I was told it was replaced, and it looks brand new. There are 126K miles on it as of now, and it runs pretty much like new. It'* awesome.
