Maybe it'* tied into the rear O2 sensor to detect when the Cat needs to be replaced. :?

Sorry, Pat. It just doesn't have the same effect as Rear Steer.

Did the 97'* not have an Oil Level Sensor, depending on trim level? The 97 SSE'* & SSEi'* have a Driver Information Center (DIC), no? Just asking, not sure.

that light comes on when the fumes REALLY start effecting how you think and act, its strictly mind control only.

MAYBE its a carbon monoxide sensor...like maybe there is a CM sensor in the cabin that we don't know about?

Let'* clear this up a bit. GM did not put a bulb in this area. Pat...that was a 93-95 cluster wasn't it? I looked on my 97 and it wasn't there...I had plans for it.
