I ended up just cutting out pieces of the original under hood insulation and used structural adhesive and glued them in place.

The dynamat is more sound barrier than a heat barrier...right?

Darn near killed my self getting in it. Really tight with the roof on it. God I love riding in that thing. It just hugs the road.

I'd be fearful of dynamat getting hot, getting goopy and falling off of the hood. I've seen it come off knock sensors, it would seriously be a pain if it gooped the engine.

Just got a couple gallons of this and some matting in from Second Skin Audio. This Sludge is supposed to be good enough for exterior rustproof protection.

Looking at the bottom I think I might add a second layer of sheet metal, that should be all I need.
