Default HOLY Clear Corners!!

I bought a product off E-Bay desighned to clear up frosted headlights. My LSS has a nasty frosted over headlight and I attempted to clear it up. I went over it so many times that I used half the bottle and no success.

Then I looked at my old 93' 88 with the nasty brown corners. I've seen how clear they are when new- in my 1993 Oldsmobile brochure. ONE TIME! I applied the compound and waited for it to dry. I wiped it off and to my suprise; HOLY clear corners. They are like NEW! They look almost like the clear corners some of you guys put on you're Bonnys. Now why won't this stuff work for my LSS? :?

Yeah, I do - I'm way too old-school for plastic

Too bad I don't have a before picture. Just look at 88s on e-bay or something and you'll see how it was before.

Actually, the glass headlights ran from 92-99. They did change the style for 96 though. They went from faceted glass with smooth reflectors, to clear glass with faceted reflectors and little metal halos around the bulbs. They also changed the corners from 1/2clear,1/2yellow to all-yellow that year, which is why the 92-95 cars look better with clear corners than the 96-99 cars.
I think the best-looking combination of lights would be the 96-99 headlights with the 92-95 corners. I saw pictures of someone'* Bonnie with 96-99 headlights where they had painted the flat, non-reflector surfaces black. It looked really nice, but they left the 96-99 corners in, and they didn't match very well. The 92-99 corners have a divider across the middle that could be painted like that so they would match the painted headlights.
