Bonnie is now sitting back at my house (I'm back at school). Basically, lady ran a stop sign and hit me in the right front side in front of the tire. Damage didn't look too bad at first but it bent a small part of the frame, fender, bumper, battery, battery box, motor mount, and more are all a lost cause. I'm hoping insurance doesn't want to total it because I love my car and really don't plan on getting rid of it after all of the money I've invested into it. And no, my car is not white. haha. Sorry but I don't have any pictures. Maybe when I return home in 2 weeks for Christmas break.

Sorry to hear. Hope it works out as you'd like. However many have taken the insurance money and gotten another, soemtimes newer bonne. Then added their old mods.

Yes and I realize that'* a possibility but unless I found almost an exact replica of my car, I don't think I could change. I just had new tires put on it Saturday. The supercharger has been worked on, all new plugs and wires, sway bars, and the list goes on as to everything that I have had fixed on the car. Also, being in college makes money extremely tight so the money I would get from totaling the Bonnie wouldn't be enough most likely to get me started with another car I can depend on as much as the Bonnie.

Sorry to hear about that man. Don't go ballistic when you see the shop estimate to fix it. Mine was totalled and i fixed it myself for 9% of the dealer'* estimate, and that includes hiring a paintshop.

I'm expecting a ridiculous estimate. It doesn't matter though because I'm not paying a dime for anything since it was completely her fault. It'* just a matter of the insurance company deciding whether the repair costs are close enough to the worth of the car to make it worth totaling. My dad took a rough estimate at about $3,000 worth of damage and on a car with 121,000 miles, that'* pretty tempting to total. I just looked around at other Bonnevilles and there are some nice choices out there with low mileage but it all depends on how much I would get if they want to total it.

Pull up KBB.com and look up the wholesale or dealer trade in value. That'll most likely be close to the amount they will offer you. Realize that you don't need to accept their first offer and you can haggle the amount up a little usuually.

Maybe you can buy yours back after settling for a few hundred. That way all your stuff doesn't go to the junkyard man.

And just remember if you decide to fix it, I have a pretty good red front bumper and an OK front fender as well as some other parts if you are interested. If they end up totalling it, find out how much it'* be to buy back as I might be interested.
