UIM is working out very well. Already at 2,100 miles since I did the job two weeks ago!

I'm going to start a new thread in 92-99 of what I found when I did the job.

Glad to hear it!

I haven't lost a drop of coolant with mine. I used the radiator sealer just for caution, though. Ran it one day, drained it, and then put new coolant in.

This repair is so damned simple it'* amazing to me that GM didn't spend the $1 it would have cost to do it from the factory.

Yes, you got that right. In my case, they went with the smaller diameter stove pipe in the LIM (I have the later version, smaller pipe), but should have sleeved the upper. It'* like they only did 50% of the work...
