I have a 91 Bonnie. Everything is great on it....new alt...belt...all of that stuff. For some reason, when I hit the gas from a stop....it hesitates and jerks a little.....Any idea what it is? Thanks!

Sounds like it could be a fuel problem, check to see if you have any codes, just go to autozone or bridge the 2 upper right connections on your code reader port. Go to techinfo for more info. ... could be your TCC. The MAT sensor will cause this problem also.

If theres no problem there, try running some fuel system cleaner, I dunno how effective it really is but I like Marvel'* Mystery oil, and if that doesnt fix it just change your fuel filter and keep going from there, plugs...wires....so on and so forth

If you've done a recent tuneup (plugs/wires, fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve, etc), and there aren't any codes, pull your TB and clean it.

thanks for the advice. I don't know if this has anything to do with it....but for awhile the service engine soon light would just come on randomly and go off. So I had it checked out and they said its just some sensor. Anywho....on a trip just a week ago back from IL to OK, I had the cruise on at about 80 and runnin about 3 grand....anyways, I was reachin for somethin and bumped the shifter into Neutral which revved the engine to almost a redline, but I couldn't here it or really tell cause my music was all loud....so it was probably like that for about 7 secs or so until I realized what happend....right at that time the service engine soon light came on. Does that clue any ideas as to what it could be?

the plugs and wires are somewhat new.....pcv valve I could check...recent oil change but that wouldn't do anything....What do you mean by TB willren Also, when I get down to about a quarter of a tank of gas, my car pretty much dies...Anyone else have that problem? And, when it gets low on fuel, on corners it will cut out...any thoughts? Thanks

I smell a fuel delivery problem now. And a dirty Throttle Body (TB) would contribute to that. I'd change my fuel filter and drain the old one on a white peice of paper to see what comes out. Fuel pressure would be good to check also.

BUT....I'd still be really curious to see what your plugs look like. It'* pretty simple to pull them and inspect. A fouled plug or two, or even a bad wire will cause that hesitation you're talking about. It'* burned plenty of people.

Start with the fuel filter (cheap and easy, even if it is smelly) to see if you get any rust particles or goo. Then inspect your plugs. If that doesn't solve/find anything, I'd be looking at a fuel pressure check.
