First I'll say I hate anything exhaust related. I was afraid I would break it trying to get it out. So I sprayed it with WD-40 this morning and again when I left work. Then again before I pulled it. Surprisingly (to me) it came out with no effort. I did how ever buy the 02 sensor socket and that made getting at it easy using two extensions one swivel socket and a torque wrench.

What do you think? The threads are dark from the WD-40. To me it looks pretty good for as old as it is. I'm not saying I'm saving it to use later. I just thought it would have looked a lot worse.

Did you change both O2s? When I did mine it came out no problem and I didn't use any WD40 or anything like that. But when I put in a new cat on my car my rear O2 was a royal PITA.

I think my 95 only has this one. From reading the post on here 96 and up got two and it seems this is the only one that really matters for fuel mileage. It wasn't reading bad when I checked it. I only did it because all the post I read seemed to point at changing it every 70K miles. Well I missed the first two

Stupid me I didn't even think about how 95 wasn't OBD 2. & your thinking is correct the, front O2 is all that matters in 96+ vehicles. Yeah good that you finally got to it at 211k Hopefully you pick up a few MPGs lol.

With the proper tools.. if you had a slightly warm exhaust. They will come right out.

the slightly warm helps out ALOT!!!
