I love my HUD. I thought that you have to have the HUD windsheild for it to work though? without the coating that is on that windshield the image is all fuzzy. do all bonnevilles come with the coated windshield even if they are no equiped with HUD?

The window is only in cars with HUD. There are other add on HUD items that can project and I understand they are pretty clear on a regular window.

It'* been done in an '88.

I was going to add a HUD to my SLE because it drives me nuts not having it after I drive the SSEi, but I figured it'* not worth it. A big piece of the puzzle is the windshield. I'm not willing to go that far for a sharp image.

Pat, I get a new windshield almost every year because I NEED one. On top of that, they put in OEM glass. My SLE never had a HUD, therefore the insurance won't cover a HUD windshield for it.
