I use this type of oil in the truck and I heard you can use it in car engines. Has anyone else tried it?

Lucas makes many products most of which are oil additives for enignes/transmissions. They also produce racing oils and fuel additives. I've never used any additives in my Dino oil. But I have heard others that use Lucas products with good results.

I use Lucas for everything possible. Have you seen the display they have with two sets of four gears, one set has regular oil in it the other has Lucas and oil. Turning the crank spins the gears. The one with the lucas and oil makes it to the top gear in like one turn. The oil one barely makes it to the top after turning the crank a bunch of times. Its very thick chit, letting the bottle sit in hot water makes it alot easier to pour.
I think they also make engine oil. I'm going to look into next time I do an oil change.

Putting it in hot water makes it easier to pour? Viscosity of oil products shouldn't change much with heat. That'* bad news. I don't doubt Lucas makes good products, because if they didn't, they wouldn't be around long, or have sponsorships in NHRA, but I also know if they were THAT great, more people/manufacturers would be using them.

Most cars will run several hundred thousand miles with regular dinosaur juice.

we use airplane-grade regular motor oil, and it works just great. (See sig)

I just used Shell oil... Some people swear by ams oil, But 14buxx a letre? I pay less for synthetic diesel oil.
That lucus oil treatment/chain lub. Iknow its just the 'old STP' VERY viscose.

hmmmm i wouldnt touch the stuff.... thats just me. i was always raised on the "additives are bad" school of thought. im tryin to find the link i think jason posted it to the guys site where he tested some oil additive and it made it all nasty

I've heard of that stuff. It'* not a huge deal to me though. I just use whatever oil is at my dad'* shop, and I think it is Castrol Oil.

Lucas is a good race oil and they do sponsor several nhra events as does redline or royal purple. Costs more but some people claim it opens up more horse power.
