Default Halfway to my license

I passed the required 4 hour drug and alcohol course that you have to take in the state of Florida to get a learners license. I got 37 out of 40 correct. I only needed 32. I took the online course, and did it in my spare time.

Halfway to my license...now i only need january 4, 2005 to come.

Lucky! I haven't even taken Driver'* Ed yet [can't until May]. Like GAMEOVER said, you must treat your license with respect because it is only a privaledge. You will definitely have a cool car to roll around in, you don't want to lose that, now do you .

Almost 4 years now for me too. 1 ticket, 0 points. 5 pull overs (one for 'excessive tire noise,' 3 for burned out headlights, and one was a mistake on the cop'* part. he thought my car was stolen. )

Youll be fine, always go the speed limit, dont go 5 over or 5 under. Dont get flustered. I never took a driving class and took my test during rush hour when all the school buses were out, not fun, but passed. And remember to keep both hands on the wheel and to chekc your rear view mirrors whenever the instructor is looking at you, so they can see your paying attention.

Must be nice to have drivers ed offered at school. It isn't offered through schools in Michigan (as far as I know no schools in MI offer it), so I had to pay I think it was $290 for the first level class, where I got my permit, then after driving 40 day hours and 10 night hours on my permit, for at least 6 months (well 3 months before you can take the class, and 6 months before you can take your road test), I had to take the second session class which was like $120 or something like that, and then I had to take the drivers test which was $35 I think, so it was quite expensive to say the least.

Got my license October 16, 2003, I was 16, 1 month, and 15 days old, and a Junior in HS. I'm enjoying every minute of it. I've been in one accident (was sitting at a stoplight and some dumbshit evidently didn't notice the red light and my 9 brake lights and slammed into me), and I've been pulled over once (on Monday) for reckless driving, but never got a ticket. (have no idea how I managed to get out of that, but the cop said he appreciated my honesty, and he didn't want to hassle me on my way to school. I knew he saw exactly what I did, so why deny it or lie to him about it?) Apparently, the cops don't like it when you dump the clutch form 5k at a dead stop and smoke the tires all the way through first and then slam the car into second gear and leave a 10ft. patch in 2nd... But, it is definately a privelege you should respect. I forget that sometimes and it results in exactly what I just said above. Good luck with the rest of your drivers ed. Believe me, I know what its like waiting...I did a LOT of waiting. I was 14, 9 months, and 10 days old when I got my permit, so it was quite a wait for my license almost a year and a half later.

Shawn
