ive had the bonne for over a year and just found out that my mom thinks its a GTO, when she said that i didnt have anything to say i was just speechless all i could manage was "uh no, its called a bonneville, and now shes calling it a bon-ville. no matter how many times i say bonneville she says bon-ville, i know its not a big deal but it just annoys me, i tihnk ive discovered a pet-peeve, lol

A Bonneville being mistaken as a GTO........ that'* pretty sad.
No disrespect to the Bonneville or the GTO.... but they are two VERY different classes of vehicles IMHO.

I'm going to have to go with......

Eh, its only natural that someone who knows nothing about cars would confuse a GTO with a SSEi. They think since the SSEi is fast that it must be a GTO.

Ur mom thought a 96 was a GTO? She might need her noggin checked out. j/k

SSEi != fast, The GTO is in a totally different class of handling, fit and finish, and focus. A Bonnie can't touch it IMO.

my female best friend who knows nothing about cars compared my 94 SSE to a newer grand am! i was like OMG i know you didnt!!(no offense PJ) but geez, at least there is no mistaking my new car, or the newer bonnies, which i will have a newer SSEi in a couple of year!!!LOL!!

Whats worse is when people intentionally call it the wrong name. When I first got the Bonne, a few of my friends insisted on calling it the "Bonerville". That did not sit well with me at all.
