Default GXP vs STS Seats

any idea how similar they are?
i drove an STS few times and the seats seemed to be very close to the GXP ones, except they had the speakers on the shoulders and they were heated and cooled.

any idea if they are interchangeable?

Hey Buddy,

Very interesting thread here, it would be neat mod to do for sure. I was wondering how you were going to get more speakers in that car (referring to spring 2011 mod thread). If this were capable of fitting in the car and of course getting them hooked up and fully functional, i bet finding a pair would be pretty tough....how close is the color of them to your interior color now?

Certainly interesting thought!

I would think they would bolt in. So much is alike between the two. But Meh. I love the GXP seats as is. They made routine 600 miles rides I made to Cincinnati and back very comfy for 2 years. I really wouldn't want speakers at my ears.

Thanks Eric! I'll keep you posted

John, honestly don't care much for 2 little tweeters around my shoulders. Main reason I open this thread I'm interested in the cooled seat option and also the heated rear seats
I found a set for an "okay" price, I'm worried more about the color match than anything else. I wish I have an STS in the area.

Come to Purgatory, you 'd never have hot seats, We see 90 degrees maybe every other year. One of the reasons I like my remote starter is the car is either warmed up or cooled off by the time I go out and get in it.

Interesting. I LOVE cooled seats, comes in very handy in this Fl. heat. May be a stupid question, but you are talking about changing all the seats?
