Default gxp on sle

Hello all. I am new to the forum. I have a 2002 sle but i really want a gxp. I was reading about the expense of repairing a gxp and was wondering could I buy the gxp parts from a yard and bolt them onto my sle? I found a 2004 gxp for 9,000 but after reading about the caddy motor and the cost of service and parts i wanted to fit the gxp parts on my car. It looks like the front facia and the rear cover and tail lights should bolt in. Will they? I also wanted to get the white gauges for the dash but you guys said they have a high failure rate and are expensive to replace. any help would be apprecieted.

all of the GXP stuff is a direct bolt on to a SLE. For example, i have added the following GXP parts to my 2003 SSEi

exhaust
suspension
brakes
taillights
3 piece spoiler
carbon fiber steering wheel
carbon fiber trim
brushed alum shifter handle

the cluster will fit but people have reported problems with random lights such as low coolant etc. the Body parts will bolt right on with out a problem

I would just get the GXP. A lot of the issues don't happen till you get way up in the miles, over 175k, and the others are applicable to most other bonnevilles any way.

I test drove the 2004 gxp today. While I did like the ride the interior was pretty much like my car( 2002sle). I like the styling of the car and the rumble of the exhaust. Some of the problems i hav had with my car are: Rear windows stopped working, Gas and oil gauges stopped working at the same time, shocks went out, some lights in the dash have gone out, heat on driver seat has stopped working( will check fuse tomorrow). Do all these thinks happen to all bonnevilles or a limited amount? Some owners i hav talked too have the same problems...gas and oil gauge, windows and hubs and rotors that seem to warp way too fast. The gxp is a negoitable 9,000. I still might get it. I really like the car. It'* grey. Which is better the ssei or the gxp?

Pretty common problems you have stated there. GXP vs SSEi?
SSEi will take the GXP off the line, it has better low end torque. From a rolling start, its a different story.
Top speed, it'* the GXP. Many members have taken them to a buck and a half.....Or so I hear.Hehehe.
Handling, the GXP offers a much stiffer/stronger sport suspension. Styling, its in the eye of the beholder but you cant get an SSEi now that isnt at least 6 years old. (And **** starts happening with any car that old)
Even when the Bonneville letters were on the back end of my GXP (I shaved them before the custom paint) people would and do ask, just what kind of car (or Pontiac) is that? It is certainly unique.
I would like to have one of each, but wouldnt trade my GXP for the other.

The SSEi is easier to work on, cheaper, and can get better mileage, though, too.
Gas Gauge: Sender needs to be repaired. Takes about 3 hours, DYI.
Oil Gauge: Takes about 45 minutes, and a $30 sender. DYI.
Lights In dash: Depends on light and how good you are with a soldering gun.
Heated Seat Not working: Short in seat element, need to take leather off, repair.
These things are common in older bonnevilles. It just happens when a car gets older. My car is almost 6 years old, and it'* the newest SSEi. Even the newest GXP is 3 years old.

Mine came off the lot new 1-17-06. Dam it'* hard to believe I've had it nearly 3 years and it'* actually now 4 years old. Like I said, I would love to have an 03SSEi And a 05GXP sitting in my stable. It would be like, hmmmmm. Street or highway today, city or country.
