GM employess can "tag" top of line vehicles at reduced lease rates after they have been driven for one year by GM execs and various other speciality cars. The employess can then tag a car they are interested in and get it a a reduced lease rate for x amount of years, then they get shipped to the dealer as an "off lease" car. Usually with 60 000km or whatever. Then they make their hay by offering extended warranties and hight financing rates then new cars.
My uncle works for GM and he tags many cars for my family. Some really nice ones too...thats why I fell fer the Bonne and then the Aurora, my uncle had 2 Auroras and the 97 he owned for 2 years was the exact same as mine...then he got a 2000 Aurora, now he drives a 2002 Speciat Edition GTP. Among other cars

I work for an Environmental firm that does engineering and consulting for GM; We get special pricing too. I have to look up the specifics, but it only applies to "new" cars, and I would rather save the money and get a one year old vehicle. I will wait until I am done with school (going back after a 10 year hiatus) then I will get a new Bonneville (GXP)...
at least that'* the plan...need to get the wifey'* approval...
