Rice? no. I'm not a 00+ fan myself, till the GXP came along. Much more natural looking car for sure.

My definition of ricey would be the unfinished or inappropriate look. You know, 10 grand or more in aftermarket body parts, but zero in paint. Or they just don't fit with, or even worse, don't work with the original body (See the Auroro thread fro the "don't work with" part). Then you have the obvious... Stickers that probably cost more than the car did, the little bug feeler antennaes, fart cannons, etc...

To plau Devil'* Advocate for a second, tho, we had an Asian Kid that worked with us last summer that was making a bee-you-rea-ful Acura Integra! The body kit he put on that car fit it perfectly. The paint job was awesome. Incredible dash mods. Of course, his family owned the Import Body and Performance shop where he did all his work...

Okay, Ill start off by saying that honda does in my opinion make a good car and the only reason I wouldnt buy one is because of what the "tuner scene" has created for the honada reputation. Like someone has previously said, Rice is the effort in trying to make a non sporty car look fast, Some rice accessories include but are not limited to ungodly heavy and usually ugly body kits, clear "euro" style taillights ... actually any car accessory claimingto give your car the euro look, 18" wheels in the rear and 14" steel wheels in the front ( btw this look ugly, your car is neither fast nor furious so instead of running 18.6 you might as well run 18.8 and put all the wheels on the car), wacky suspension upgrades that look to actually kill handling, painting every interior panel you can get your hands on, carbon fiber hoods, carbon fiber wings, angel eye headlights and Z3 fenders (we know your car isnt a BMW, dont try to fool us), neon lights coming from any possible location of the car, A pillar with 3 gauges on your stock car and they usually end up being gauges for coolant temp, oil pressure and boost ... wait, your car doesnt have any forced induction ?!?!?, HUGE race tachs with shift lights, and more of a humiliation on a automatic car... I always found the tach on my cluster to actually be quite nice.....

I could go on and on and on, but everyone has seen rice. You might even have a local resident rice rocket in your neighborhood, none the less everyone deep down inside knows what rice is.

I have never seen such a fuss made over the loss of body cladding and the relocation of a set of fog lights!

Its a beauiful full sized sedan with a PREMIUM top end engine...GM has been taking a BEATING on using the 3800 in to many cars, so they go to a different (dare I say better) engine and it still gets ripped on...

Geez seems they cant win
We need a new approach

What is the definition of RICE itself and can said definition be related to the 00+ Bonneville (from the factory).

(when i think of cladding, i think of rice)
