Are grills of different years interchangable? Is that a real word?

Yes interchangable is a real word......LOL and I think that 92-95 and 96-99 can swap with some minor modification. But I don't think it would ever look right. Otheriwse 92-95 and 96-99 are the only year spans that grilles are compatible. At least if you're looking for a buff and bolt part.

92 SE will swap with the 93-95 SLE
the SE will not swap with the SSE/SSEi

96-99 will swap no matter what model

in 94 to 95 i thought they would. when i wrecked my bonne, i used the grill from a 95 SLE and it fit perfectly! just wonderin?!

well the SSE/SSEi grille is not as high as the SE/SLE grille. the SE/SLE bumper has a cutout between the headlights and the SSE/SSEI does not.

By looking at your pics you have a SSE/SSEi grille on there

ya know, that actually explains alot. i always wondered why ther was a gap that didnt used to be there. i just thought the bumper was misaligned. Aint that funny that after not having the car for almost six months i still was wondering!! Thanks for the answer!!!
