Default The grill is off!

Now i need some advice on how to prepare it to paint it.
What type of stuff should i use to cover the parts i don't want painted?
How many coats should i put on the grill?

Any advice is welcomed!]

thanks

Get painting tape, the stuff that'* non residue forming after a week. It'* normally blue. Use LOTS of little pieces around the corners, and if you don't like the tape job, don't paint it!!! just take your time taping, otherwise, don't spray dead on, spray at an angle somewhat, so it gets some coverage going back a little. It'll probably fade to the back anyways, but it looks cool on my car.

Make sure its clean, contamination is one thing that will make the paint peel. Also put down a thin coat of primer first and let dry completly before adding paint. Like Bonneme stated take your time, dont rush. And dont wash fresh paint for a month to let it cure (bit extreme but it is cold outside?).
